Felt flashcards by abah

I've been wanting to make this a long time, since I was pregnant. Back during my maternity leave (before deliver), I did a lot of walking, ehem blogwalking, food blog, sewing blog, gardening blog, many many more cool blogs, oh my, they are all very inspiring. And when I saw this, I quickly listed it on my to-do-list, and finally last week,yes, after a year, hahaha I managed to get them done, well with a lot of help from my dear husband. No, actually it was hubby who finished it all;)

I bought variety colors of felts last month, so that  I can start off with this project before year end. That's my goal, I want to finish them this year. And I got the black felts cut the next day I brought them home, but it all ended there. We have no printer I can't print the template, so I just stopped, and suddenly, I was so busy taking care of any other things, (hehe, alasan) I totally forgot I got some numbers to sew on my cutting felts. Until, last week, on a fine Sunday morning, its so cold outside so we just get each other warm inside, mrA asked, 'what happen to your felt project? dah siap?' I just smiled and said I can't print the template, so I can't continue. He then replied ' I can cut the numbers for you, well I can sew them too if you wish'. I apa lagi, I quickly said 'Yes, douzo.'

So hubby started to cut the numbers, straight from the felts, no patterns. Ishh confident sungguh hubby ku ini, kita yang tengok ni risau, but all the numbers turned out perfect. So I just let him do his job, while I did my houseworks. I did help him cut some simple shape tough;) After finish with the cutting,he then move to sewing, and by Maghrib, Shafi flashcards are ready! And I was so impressed with the outcome, so kemas! Tercabar mama;)

 

I know this is too early for Shafi, to learn numbers etc, but I'm just happy I made them. I feel motivated to make other stuff for him. And I'm so fell in love with felts too! Now that its cold outside I can't do much gardening, I'll try to get focus on sewing. Wish me luck!

This was when right after hubby finished with sewing, still no grommet. We bought the puncher along with the grommet last week at Daiso for 210yen. Well not everything in Daiso is 100yen, got to remember that lol.
