Baby leaf greens

I always buy baby leaf greens to make salad sebab ia sungguh osyare! A mix of young leaves with multi attractive colors and slightly different taste, again, osyare! They'll cheer up your plate. So when I saw the seeds selling at Daiso, and the package  says 'fast growing vegetables and can be harvested at any growing stage', I without no doubt bought 2 packets of it. Remember, 2 for 100yen! Gotta love Daiso.

I sowed the seed in the container, akhir bulan 9. Cuaca masih panas masa tu, so they got enough sun, macam biasa I just water them every morning, look out for caterpillars (lesson learned from growing radishes) and a week later the bud started to come out. The pic above was taken on 8th Oct, so about 2weeks after sown.

And they keep growing splendidly! See, they merely outgrow the container. This was taken on 19th Oct. I was hoping to see some red leaves, like red mustard leaf, or at least some with red stem like the one sell in supermarket, but all were green. Maybe I should look for a different seed next time.

And above was taken on 24th Oct, sampai ada yang dah kuning;) As said earlier, they can be harvested at any growing stage, but I just waited them to grow larger, harvested them all, and get the container ready for the next plant which was the same baby leaf greens, hahaha. I still got plenty of the seeds, and I know these babies won't let me down. They'll grow.

So these are my first harvesting of baby leaf greens. I made salad mix with some tomatoes, also from my our small garden and boiled eggs, topping with caesar dressing. Simple way to enjoy the freshness of your veggie!

I would recommend this, baby leaf greens for your first plant to grow from seed. I still got some seeds left if you want some:)
